Capturing your memories is my passion

Shutter Bliss Photography started life as a married couple, Roger and I (Ciara) way back in 2011. In more recent years, Roger has taken a back seat to look after his father who lives with us, and I have ploughed ahead, loving capturing memories and seeing you on your best day.

I first fell in love with photography as a teenager, when my father bought a film camera, which I wouldn’t put down. I shot everything, babies, dogs, landscapes, but mainly people. I loved and still love, capturing expression and life. I joined the photography club in university and my passion expanded. When I had the chance to start shooting weddings, I was terrified but exhillarated at the same time, and nearly two decades on, I still love it.

We also live with our gorgeous rescue Buddy, who is a Sproodle (a Springer poodle mix). He is a bit mad, and still behaves like a puppy even though is is getting on a bit.

I take a relaxed and natural approach to shooting your big day

I believe in capturing your memories while not fleecing your wallet. It is important to me that I deliver quality images that you will be proud of for years to come. I love that I get to see people on their best days, it makes me fall in love with you a little bit. I’m passionate about always striving to produce my best work, and often take on new challenges, such as recently learning to shoot hybrid, which is photo and video by one person.

I understand that your wedding day is about you. I want you to feel relaxed, and enjoy your day as that is how I get my best shots. Rather than an obtrusive stranger ordering you about, I will feel like an old friend who happen to be recording your day with state-of-the-art equipment. I want to tell your love story.
