Nikki & Ryan chose the perfect Batch Country House for their autumnal wedding. You wouldn’t have thought it was the 2nd of November, the sun shone all day and gave us the prettiest light possible.
Nikki & Ryan chose the perfect Batch Country House for their autumnal wedding. You wouldn’t have thought it was the 2nd of November, the sun shone all day and gave us the prettiest light possible.
Nikki’s dress was a gorgeous champagne a line from So Gorgeous Bridal in Worle. The wedding had a navy and burgandy theme running through it. The garter was inspired by Harry Potter. Nikki’s sister made her a beautiful box for her Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue and gave her a stunning antique blue broach belonging to a grandmother. The yellow rose in the centre of her bouquet was from her grandfather’s favourite yellow rose bush. It’s all the little details that make a wedding special and unique to each couple.
Nikki is very lucky to be surrounded by talented people. Her sister did her make up and a life-long friend did her hair.
Ryan also got ready at Batch Country House so Roger was able to capture his preparations.
Nikki was as cool as a cucumber despite the madness going on around her. She was serene and beautiful and a pleasure to be around.
Lacey is Nikki & Ryan’s fur baby. Lorraine, Nikki’s mum, arranged a surprise in the form of Lacey appearing to be their ring bearer. Caroline, who was looking after the dog for the day brought her along and Nikki was so happy to see her.
Ryan watched through the mirror as his bride walked towards him on her father’s arm.
The ceremony went without a hitch, despite the registrar not realising there was a last minute substitution with the ring bearer.
Luckily the weather was just perfect on the day, so we were able to get outside and enjoy the milky sunshine.
We started the family photos with the most special one, of mum and dad with their fur-baby.
Nikki’s sister Kristy did an amazing job with the wedding cake. The shilloute details of their relationship, little Lacey poking through at the back and the light boxes were all fantastic.
The favours were gorgeous Christmas baubles with lights inside. There was a special favour of a tea cup for Nikki’s grandmother.
We took the adult members of the bridal party off for photos, as the little ones had had enough.
And then it was time for some alone time with this gorgeous couple. The colours of the leaves at this time of year is always stunning.
It was totally worth climbing into the compost to get this shot, I love the way the light is falling on Nikki’s face.
We headed back indoors for food and speeches.
You all know we love messing about in the dark to get a great shot. Nikki and Ryan had some light up LED trainers (which everyone wanted to steal). So we combined them with a smoke bomb to create this little piece of magic.
The guests made great use of the photo booth and we had a bit of fun with the empty frame.
Nikki’s brother in law entertained everyone with his magic tricks.
Meanwhile Gerry from DJ at my Wedding got the dancefloor moving with the first dance followed by a father daughter dance.
It was such a gorgeous day at Batch Country House for Nikki and Ryan.
Leave them a comment and let them know your favourite bit from the day.

It was a wonderful evening, Nikki and Ryan are a lovely couple xx
Hi Mr and Mrs Wilkins, thank you for including me in your special day, it was such a fun and happy occasion but also very emotionally charged, it was simply perfect! You both looked stunning, the service was beautiful, having Lacey as a surprise ring bearer was very special. All of the speeches were wonderful, your first dance and Nikki’s dance with her dad were gorgeous, I danced with little Ayla, she told me to follow her moves which sounded like a good plan but started off with star jumps and got more and more challenging so a sit down with a drink was needed! Children were occupied with lots of fun things for them to do which was lovely to see, I know how hard you both worked to make your wedding day so special and it absolutely was, the entire day at The Batch was perfection so a huge well done to you both! I know you will both continue throughout life loving and caring for each other, it is the biggest adventure for the pair of you and is full of possibilities, you are surrounded by people who will always love and support you x
I think the photo of you through the grasses is just stunning. So sorry we couldn’t share you day.
