Mandy & Russell at Bailbrook House Hotel

Evening sunshine

We arrived at a very sunny Bailbrook House Hotel on Saturday morning to find Russell, our groom entering the hotel with their two little ones, and the biggest smile on his face. He was going to be marrying his best friend, and even one of the kids throwing up on him in the car wasn’t going to dampen his enthusiasm.

Bridal Pampering

Our bride Mandy was in equally good spirits. She had the glam squad of Kirsty from Forget Me Not on hair duty and Stephanie Gorman-Carr from Bobbi Brown on make up. They both did a superb job as you can see.

The details

Mandy’s jewerlery was borrowed from her lovely bridesmaid Laima. The flowers were by the talented Sarah at Daisy ties the knot.

Our Groom and his Best Man

We love when a couple get ready at the same venue, it means we can capture some of the groom prep as well. It’s not always logistically possible, so have a chat with us if it’s something that’s really important to you.

The very cute Fynlay and Kennedy

Mandy and Russell had the genius idea to have children’s entertainment/creche for the kids during the prep, the meal and for the start of the evening. Little ones get very bored when it’s such a long day. Having something geared to their needs is perfect.

The bridesmaids first look

Every bride looks amazing on her wedding day, but it’s always nice/necessary to get that validation from her besties, don’t you think? Carla and Laima did not let Mandy down with their reaction.

First look no look

Every once in a while we get the chance to do a First Look No Look. This is where the bride and groom meet but don’t see each other before the ceremony. It’s always filled with emotion. Mandy chose not to speak, they just touched, and it was a very special moment.

Mum and Dad and their Baby Girl

Dad’s first look is always one of my favourite parts of getting ready. I’m a sucker for the slushy stuff! I got double whammy on Saturday when mum got equally emotional seeing her baby as a bride. Welling up now just thinking about it.

Oh the excitement!

Little Kennedy was all grown up and independant with her nail varnish gleaming in the sunshine.

Stairway to a wedding

Mandy elegantly descended the stairs to get married.

The ceremony

The ceremony was full of laughter as Russell struggled to get his words out in the right order. Who could blame him, I think Mandy you can definitely say you left his speechless.

Some alone time at last

It’s not hard to photograph a couple as happy as these two. The guests were left with the wonderful Garbanzo’s Ice Cream for company. I would highly recommend the rhubarb and custard flavour, yum.

The Speeches

The food was very important at this wedding, seeing as Russell is a chef. They treated their guests to a fabulous 3 course meal with plenty of choice for everyone. Afterwards it was time for the speeches. Mandy’s dad Roger went first and had everyone in stitches with his battering of poor Russell. I mean, it’s hard for a Scotsman to see his baby daughter marry an Englishman after all. We also heard of Russell’s ability to transform from woman to saucy devil pulling gnome!

In the Cloisters

I love this little corner of the Cloisters Restaurant.

Darren Campbell Magician

We were delighted to see Mandy & Russell had organised for the very talented Darren Campbell to entertain their guests. He is a fantastic magician and no matter how many people try to catch him out, he still manages to astound everyone with his sleight of hand.

Evening sunshine

It was a gorgeous evening, the sun continued to shine and added a garden party feel to the wedding. Russell wanted to lie on his back with his wife, need I say more (only kidding Russell, you earned the lie down!)

The first Dance

The band Riot performed a beautiful acoustic rendition of Everlong, you would honestly believe the Foo Fighters were there.

We had an amazing day with these two. It’s days like this that make our job an utter joy. I will link all the appropriate people below. Give us all some love, we really love to hear your feedback.
