Kelly and Oli at Batch Country House

Couple at Clevedon Pier

On Saturday we had the wedding of the lovely Kelly and Oli. We started the day at Kelly’s parents’ house in Clevedon. We had the pleasure of meeting them all before at Batch Wedding Fair. Kelly’s gorgeous dress came from So Gorgeous Bridal in Worle. Her make up was done by Emma Dawson hair and make up, and her hair was by Gemma Highley-Price.

The preparations

Kelly and Oli both scrubbed up pretty well.

The bridesmaids were Kelly and Oli’s sisters, Emma and Alice, the younger members, their nieces Poppy, Evie, Alana and their nephew Riley certainly stole the show. Little Alana never stopped smiling all day.

Paige boy Riley’s main task was to act as ring security, which he did very well indeed on the way down the ailse.

It’s always lovely to be able to capture the groom’s first look at his bride. In this case, Oli did not disappoint. The look of pride and happiness in his face warmed my heart.

First look and more

There was a little mix up in the booking for an organist. So it was up to the congregation to fill the church with music. Often, no offence folks, but the singing from us mere mortals is a little weak and pathetic, not in this case. Hearing all Kelly and Oli’s guests blast out Bread of Heaven gave me chills. Well done folks, seriously impressed.

The Ceremony

After the church we headed down to a very busy Clevedon Pier. Kelly said she felt famous with everyone wishing them well. On Kelly’s parents wall, there is a canvas from her sister’s wedding taken at Clevedon Pier, so it was an honour to continue the tradition.

It was then time to join the guests at the gorgeous Batch Country House in Lympsham, a venue we know and love. After some family group shots, we took the bridal party away for some images.

The Bridal Party

I was giving the girls some direction with their poses, when Oli decided to join in. Seeing as he took the mick out of me later for my mum dancing, I’ve decided to include this here. I love you Oli, honestly.

While the rest of the guests were being seated we took the opportunity to grab a few more photos with Kelly and Oli.

Kelly and Oli elected to have the speeches before the meal to allow everyone to relax and enjoy their food (delicious as always)

After dinner there was a lovely party vibe going on in the setting sun. The boys especially wanted some fun.

Feeling their rat pack vibe, the lads got some whiskey, cigars were missing in action. Tom got a little excited at the glass clink!

The trusty frame came out for a little while.

In the Frame

The lovely Olly Eade from Enhanced Entertainment kicked off the evening with the cake cut followed by First dance, father daughter dance and then a hopping dancefloor which I suspect was filled for the rest of the night.

While we were packing up, we noticed the sky was on fire and looked just beautiful. We asked the new Mr and Mrs Jones if they wouldn’t mind stepping outside for a minute. As with everything else that day, they were so accomodating. Honestly, Kelly and Oli were a joy to work with. Their love for each other is so obvious, it’s lovely to witness. We wish them all the very best.

Oli said when we were leaving that we are family now, and it’s true, we are, and we are honoured to be.

Leave us a comment and tell us what your favourite image is, or if you were there, what your favourite part of the day was.

Don’t forget to head over the Batch Country House website as they will also have a blog up from the day.

What fabulous photos & that’s just a sneak preview. You both were a pleasure to have around us on such a special day. You were on hand to help with getting Kelly ready, to helping with placing button holes on. To the smooth running of getting everyone in place for the photos. Can’t thank you both enough but will truly remember you & will recommend you for years to come. Proud mum of Kelly ( Caroline x)
