Katie & Rob at Batch Country House

Another storm, another wedding, we are not having a good time of it weather wise this month!
Katie and Rob had storm Callum to contend with on Saturday, but they were determined to get outside for photos. Bizarely, although it was blowing a hooley, it was unseasonably warm.

We started in Banwell at Katie’s parents’ house for bridal prep. Katie was made gorgeous by the Beauty Spot team of Lene on hair and Jenna on make up.
Her best friend Anna was maid of honour, but her 3 sisters were also on hand to support her.

Katie chose a stunningly beautiful Alan Hannah gown from Clifton Brides. It is entirely my idea of a perfect dress, simple, elegant and extremely well made. It was perfect on her tiny frame.

Getting gorgeous

It was time for Katie to get in her dress.

Getting dressed

In the meantime, Rob, our groom was arriving at Batch Country House. James, the owner of Batch happens to own Rob’s dream car. He kindly went and collected Rob and drove him to the venue in the Lotus as a surprise.

Rob’s groom’s party consisted of Josh, his best man, who is married to the maid of honour Anna, and Ashley, Katie’s little brother.

Rob was proudly wearing his grandfather’s rolex.

The Boys scrubbed up well.

Once Katie was dressed, we led her sisters in to see her in all her glory. It was emotional.

Sister's first look

We had time for some portraits amd family photos before Katie was driven to the wedding. Andrew from Triggols Vintage Cars chauffered Katie and her dad in a vintage Sunbeam.

The beautiful ladies

The ceremony was in the newly wallpapered Somerset Suite at Batch Country House. We love how James and Anna continually improve this lovely venue.

Rob seemed nervous as the doors opened, but once he spotted Katie in the mirror as she walked down the aisle, he started to relax.

Gemma from the wedding pianists filled the ceremony room with music during the ceremony.

The Ceremony

I mentioned earlier that it was unusually warm. The guests seemed happy to be outside despite the wind.

We love to take our couples away from it all for their private session. That way we get the best out of them without the best man heckling them to get a room!

The speeches were absolutely hilarious. Rob had everyone laughing, while Josh the best man had them howling with embarrassed laughter. Total success, you rocked it boys.

We love a little experimentation of an evening. I had a vision of this shot and I think we got it. What do you think?

We had a little time before the party kicked off, so we got the frame out.

Kieran Clarke Entertainments handled the disco. He was worried we would complain about the smoke effect, but I think it added a little something to the first dance.

Katie had a father daughter dance with her dad, and then the party kicked off. There were dance offs galore and a lot of twerking and slut dropping. Very funny viewing for the video.

Dancefloor shenanigans

We’ll leave you with this image of Katie dancing with her brother, with her little niece looking on. Little Emily had me entertained with her stories, I honestly think she will be the author of a Game of Thrones-esque epic when she’s older.

What are they doing?
