Jessica & Antony celebrated their winter wedding in style at Batch Country House yesterday. Antony serves in the Royal Signals and is currently based in Wiltshire. Jessica is originally from Yatton, and so they came home to get married.

Antony was meticulous in getting dressed in his number 1s.

Getting Glam

Jess’ glam squad consisited of Rose Forrest on make up. Jessica’s niece and bridesmaid Rachel did her hair.

Antony’s best man and ushers were dressed by So Gorgeous suit hire in Worle. Nick the best man has won the award for most nervous about a speech in all our years.

Jessica looked stunning. She reminded me of a doll with her perfect bone structure. Her dress was chosen from Wed2Be.

Here comes the bride

Tragically, Jessica’s lovely mum died in December, and as she had also lost her dad when she was just 18, it fell on big brother Adam to walk her down the aisle. When the big oak doors open to the Somerset Suite at Batch Country House, it really makes an impact.

The short ceremony was very sweet and meaningful. There is no denying the happiness in their faces as they said I do.

We were incredibly lucky with the weather. Someone must have been looking out for them (I’ll give you one guess). It was forecast to be drizzling and miserable all day, yet we had a lovely dry spell for outdoor photos.

After the group photos, we took Jessica and Antony away on their own for some portraits.

That Look!

Batch Country House did a fantastic job, as always, of interpreting the couple’s vision for the reception. The cake was made by a friend, it really looked professional.

Following a gorgeous meal, it was time for the speeches. The time that poor Nick the best man was dreading most.

Our night shot

It was rather nippy setting up this night shot for Jess and Ant, but totally worth it.

We were delighted to see some familiar faces at this wedding. Years and years ago when we were still living in Spain, we did a family shoot. Turns out, this family were Antony’s grandparents, aunt and cousins, small world. The little girls from that shoot are not little anymore, which makes us feel very old indeed…..quiet up there in the back, I’m not that bad!!

Directly after cutting the cake, the lovely Gerry of DJ at my wedding, guided the couple into their first dance.

Busting a move or two.

Gerry quickly had the dancefloor moving which takes some expertise. We left them dancing the night away.
