Carly & Farid at Rookery Manor

The Kiss

Saturday 19th May was a big day for a wedding, that of Carly and Farid. We started with bridal prep just down the road from Windsor Castle (the pub!), and that is where I’ll stop making references to the royal wedding, because this was Carly and Freddie’s day.

The Big Reveal

Carly’s beautiful dress was from Ellie Sanderson, and was called Kiera (I’ll forgive the bad spelling of my name in this case!). Her hair was beautiful, tumbling curls with flowers and berries intertwinned. It really was stunning.

Carly’s friend Amy came to help her get ready.

Freddie and his parents

Roger met Farid and his groom’s party at St. Martin’s in Worle before the ceremony. Freddie scrubbed up well, Carly told me the hunt for a well fitting suit was quite a challenge, but the boy did good.

The Boys

The reception was due to be at Carly’s mother’s house in the glorious back garden. We did some photos there instead. Carly and her bridesmaids, her sister, Kerrie and Freddie’s sister, Katie. Carly’s mum and other sister Tory were also there. Carly’s other sister and brother were missing at this point in the day, but we did catch them later.

Bridal portraits

It was time to get these two married. Carly’s mum walked her down the aisle. It was so lovely to witness this ceremony, it was so obvious how much in love they are.

Roger spotted this tender moment through the rails of the choir stall of Freddie holding Carly’s hand. I love it.

After the ceremony, the couple headed out towards the gate for confetti.

Mr & Mrs at Last

When we arrived at Rookery Manor, we took the couple off for some private photos while the rest of the guests were arriving. We were conscious of the fact that they are a very private couple and uneasy in front of the camera so we adjusted what we shot accordingly.

We weren’t at this wedding for very long, just enough time for some group shots and to capture the impromptu speeches.

Some Candids

It was a quick but beautiful day for us at St. Martins and Rookery Manor, which reflected the relaxed vibe that Carly and Freddie were going for. We left them enjoying the fabulous Tina V on vocals whilst the barbeque was being prepared. We hope you had a fabulous day.
