It’s been a busy start to the year here at Shutter Bliss Photography. We started with moving house which was big enough in itself, but to top it off, we decided it was time for a new fresh look. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on a new website and new logo. The old website has been up for nearly 8 years so it was time for a change.

The first thing you’ll notice is that we’ve changed to black text on white. Apparently this is easier to read, and we want to keep you happy. Photos are the main feature on this new site, which let’s face it, is what we’re all about. We want you to be able to get a really good feel for our style, while still seeing a bit of us in the text. We’re not going to go stuffy on you.

A new section on Newborn Photography will be prominent. For years now, I’ve quietly beavered away taking photos of our gorgeous couples new babies, (be they human or canine), but never really told any of you about it. Silly really. Most of you know, you become family to us by the time your wedding is over, so it’s such an honour to capture the next chapter for you.

I will also attempt to blog on a fairly regular basis. I really want to keep it chatty and informal, so there may be typos guys, I’m not going to lie. It’s the only way I can avoid getting overly critical of my writing style and making it too stuffy.

Let me know what you’d like to see in here. Would you like advice on all things wedding? How to look good in front of the camera? Real weddings? Or something completely different?

On a personal note, a lot of you will know and love our beautiful Great Dane cross dog Disley. Sadly he passed away on St. Patrick’s Day. It was heartbreaking for both of us and he’s left a huge hole in our lives. It seems we’re not the only ones, even our lovely DHL man who delivers all your gorgeous albums was upset, saying his rounds wouldn’t be the same again. He looked forward to a good old Disley lean. He will be missed.

So stay tuned for more ramblings. Let us know what you think about the new logo and website.

Stay happy,

Ciara
